One of the great things about staging a property for sale is the feeling you get when you walk away from a property knowing it has all come together nicely.
We recently had the pleasure of working on a beautiful two bedroom property in South Hobart. We’d been made aware of the project some week and half in advance, but the the issue was going to be the fact we could only see it literally 4 business hours before we could stage it! We viewed the property at 3pm on the Thursday afternoon and were meeting our removalists at the warehouse at 8.30am the next morning to start loading.
This called for extreme staging! Donielle and I revisited the property again late on Thursday afternoon to double check everything! We could not afford to miss a thing on this job as the deadline was really on and really tight.
The other potential issue we faced was not having enough of the right stock, as there was no time to do any last minute retail buying. We made the decision to challenge ourselves to use wholly what was available from the warehouse stock, and the results were very pleasing.
It was all hands on deck Friday morning. Our brilliant removalists for the day, Trent and John worked quickly to help us get all the stock into the truck, secure it, get it to the location and then unload it as efficiently as possible.

Steve, our incredibly handy man with the allen key set about building beds with me while Donielle instructed the guys where to place furniture. It was probably one of the smoothest run jobs we had done for some time, and we didn’t end up forgetting much from the warehouse at all.
We were fortunate to be working for some great clients who had maintained the property well, even from a distance while it was tenanted, which added joy to our role. Nice neutral colours on the walls, white skirting and architraves added additional wow to the rooms.
We decided to match the neutrality of the rooms with fresh whites and warm browns where possible – we wanted the walls and floors to tell their own story.
We managed to complete the whole project in good time, and while the client was there for the first hour while we unloaded and then left, she called me when she returned later in the day to have a look. I answered the call while driving back to the office after finishing the job, and there was a pause for about 3 seconds before the voice on the other end of the phone said “It’s stunning, I just love it”.
Customer satisfaction is what it is all about. Our job is to take away seller stress and any hurdles to selling a home while helping buyers feel more comfortable in the home. It was nice to know it was achieved in this instance.
